Welcome to the ECEC! Orientation Day Details
The Dedham ECEC is excited to welcome our new Kindergarten and PreSchool students to the new school year.
Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026
PreSchool Orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026
Our orientation sessions are an opportunity for students and their adults to visit the ECEC, meet their teacher and learn about important details for navigating the school year successfully. The orientation session is no longer than 1-hour. Students are invited to one of two sessions - designated by Classrooms. Students will have an opportunity to visit the classroom and spend time with their new class, while parent/guardians participate in a brief school overview with Principal Cannon. Parents will then be invited to join the students to visit their classroom.
Two sessions for Kindergarten Orientation: 9:30am & 11:00am. Students will be notified of their assigned orientation time when Class Assignment letters are release in Mid August.
Two sessions for PreSchool Orientation: 9:30am & 1:30pm. Students will be notified of their assigned orientation time when Class Assignment letters are release in Mid August.
The first full day of school for ECEC Kindergarten is Thursday, September 3rd.
