Before & After School Care

The ECEC offers Before and After-school Childcare for Students Attending the ECEC

Before School Program runs from 7:00 am – 8:45 am

After School Program runs from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm 

Students must be 4 years old to participate in this program.

 If your child will be 4 years old or a kindergartener in September, and you would like to register for before or after school care, please complete the enclosed registration forms and return them via email, to the ECEC Childcare Coordinator, Brenda McMurtry (bmcmurtry@dedham.k12.ma.us).

The $75 registration fee should be paid on the Dedham Public Schools UniPay website.

AM and PM Child Care slots are filled on a first come, first serve basis, keeping in mind the student to staff ratio that is required for our programming. Once we have reached our designated enrollment, students will be added to a waitlist.

 

Program Fees

If you have accessed ECEC Child Care in the past you will notice that fees have increased for the coming school year. The rates for childcare at the ECEC have not increased in recent years and it is important that fees continue to support the operating costs of the program.

  • For the 2024-2025 school years, fees will increase by approximately 25% and then again in the 2025-2026 school year by approximately 15%.
  • The increase in rates for the 2025-2026 school year will bring the ECEC child care rates into alignment with the rates that families currently pay for the same service in grades 1-5.
  • After the 2025-2026 school year rates will increase by 3% annually to ensure revenues generated by the fees keep pace with normal inflationary increases to the costs of goods and services.
